Welcome to Hicksville, the HUB of Long Island. Our area is sought after for many reasons. Among the most popular are easy commute to the city and our famous express trains running from the Hicksville terminal of the Long Island Railroad.  There are many wonderful residential neighborhoods with spacious 3 & 4 bedroom homes in a variety of styles. Hicksville is a neighborhood within the town of Oyster Bay in Long Island, New York with a population of approximately 41,500 residents as of the 2010 census. The town was bought by Valentine Hicks, grandson of the famous abolitionist and Quaker preacher Elias Hicks, in 1834. Valentine was the president of the Long Island Railroad and turned the village into a station stop for the railroad in 1837. Eventually, the city turned into a successful New York suburb during the building boom following World War II.

• Hickville is known for it's major transportation hub because it is where the Ronkonkoma Branch meets the Port Jefferson branch. Hicksville is 40 minutes away from Penn Station and about 20 minutes away from Stony Brook University via the Port Jefferson branch.

Hicksville is a part of the Hicksville School District, which has 7 public elementary schools (Burns Avenue School, Dutch Lane School, East Street School, Fork Lane School, Lee Avenue School, Old Country Road School, Woodland School), 1 public middle school (Hicksville middle school), and 1 public high school (Hicksville High School). Hicksville also has several private schools to choose from. The private schools are: Trinity Lutheran School, Our Lady of Mercy School, Holy Family School  and Holy Trinity Diocesan High School.
