The Village of Westbury is located within the Town of North Hempstead on Long Island, New York. Westbury is a very diverse community, giving it the nickname "A Community for All Seasons." The first settlers of the area arrived in 1658, most of them Quakers. The Village of Westbury was founded in 1675 by Henry Willis, and he decided to name the village Westbury after his old hometown in England. Westbury is a very historical town due to several events. The Long Island Railroad was built through Westbury, helpinig to increase its population. It was also the site that Charles Lindbergh took flight from for his history-making flight to Paris. Today, the village is rich with racial and ethnic diversity, making it a very unique place to call home for all its residents.

• Close to the Long Island Expressway, Northern State Parkway, Meadowbrook State Parkway and Wantagh State Parkway, making it an excellent place for someone who has to commute to work by car.
• LIRR service at Westbury Station at Post Avenue and Union Avenue. Total time to Penn Station is 40 minutes on a local train and about 30 minutes on an express train.
• 10-12 minutes from Jones Beach via Wantagh State Parkway.
• 8 minutes from Roosevelt Field Mall via Meadowbrook State Parkway.

The schools are Dryden Street School (Pre-K to K), Cherry Lane School (grades K-2), Park Avenue School (grades 1-2), Powells Lane School (grades 3-5), Rushmore Schools (grades 3-6), Drexel Avenue School (grades 3-5), Westbury Middle School (grades 6-8), Carle Place Middle & High School (grades 7-12), and Westbury High School (grades 9-12).
